“On Holding Main Festivities Dedicated to the 2200th anniversary of the city of Tashkent”
The large-scale preparatory work is being accomplished in our country dedicated to the glorious 2200th jubilee of the capital of our Homeland – the city of Tashkent.
Our people and the world community are becoming more interested in this date, which is marked along with participation of the UNESCO international organization.
In this connection, with a view of broadly celebrating the 2200th year jubilee of the city of Tashkent in line with its authority and enormous role in the history of our country and region, socio-political life and holding major festivities and mass outdoor activities dedicated to his historical date, based on the well-thought program, and on the high level:
1. It shall be adopted the outline of events in addition to the Resolution of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of April 2, 2008, in line with the appendix No.1. It shall be approved the make-up of the organizational and creative group on preparing the festive meeting and festive concert dedicated to the 2200th anniversary of the city of Tashkent, in line with the appendix No.2.
2. It shall be approved the proposals on holding the festive meeting and concert program dedicated to the 2200th year jubilee of the city of Tashkent on September 1, 2009 at the Uzbekiston Palace of International Forums, the mass events and people’s outdoor activities on September 2 – at the squares of the capital city.
3. On the occasion of the Independence Day and celebration of the 2200th anniversary of the city of Tashkent, as well as with a view of creating the favorable conditions for the population’s rest, reasonably using the working hours it shall be shifted the day-off – Saturday, August 29, 2009 – to Monday, August 31, 2009, the day-off – Sunday, August 30, 2009 – to Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Saturday, August 29, 2009 and Sunday, August 30, 2009, shall be announced the working days.
4. It shall be recommended to the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan National News Agency and other mass media outlets to broadly cover the events on preparing and holding the celebration of the 2200th year jubilee of the city of Tashkent.
5. The Prime-Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoev shall be laid with responsibility to control over execution of this resolution.
