Purposeful and complex works aimed to improve current transnational passages and create maximum favorable conditions for increasing the volume of transit freights on transport communications constantly carried out in Uzbekistan. There are constructive works on building and reconstructing rail and motor roads actively going in all regions of the country.
Every year, export-import potential of all Central Asian countries increased, trade and economic relations between them are rapidly developed. That all directly influenced on growth of load level of transport passages of Uzbekistan and region as a whole.
However, last times, very situation has not been meeting with comprehension by some Tajik mass media outlets and officials, who present it in a distorted form.
For instance, number of representatives of the government of Tajikistan disseminated groundless statements directed against Uzbekistan, accusing country on so-called “transport blockade”.
Meanwhile, statistics impartially indicate, that Uzbekistan is making maximum efforts for timely manner transit of freights in all directions through own territory and coherently meeting its commitments.
For the period from January 1 to August 8, this year the volume of freight flow by railway transport on territory of Uzbekistan towards/from Tajikistan reached to 52.291 railcars with cargo of 2.850 thousand tons of total weight, i.e. 247.9 thousand tons more than for same period of 2009.
The figures clearly show that volume of transit freights towards/from Tajikistan tends to sustainable development.
For instance, from July 1 to August 8 this year, 10.378 railcars with cargo of 572.8 thousand tons transferred towards/from Tajikistan, i.e. 7.6 thousand tons more than for same period of 2009.
Similar situation observed with freights, transferred by motor transport through territory of Uzbekistan. For the period January 1 - August 8, this year, cargo of 131.7 thousand tons transferred towards/from Tajikistan, i.e. 25.82 tons more than same period of 2009.
All referred above facts show, that Uzbekistan took and is continuing to take all necessary measures to ensure free flow of transit freights in all directions, including those, which bound to Tajikistan.
