On March 18 this year the 9-th round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Republic of India on the level of deputy ministers were held in the city of Tashkent, according to the report by Press-Service of Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry.

During the consultations the sides had an exchange of views on the state and prospects of the bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Special emphasis was made on developing relations in the sphere of fuel and energy, trade and investment cooperation and next meeting of intergovernmental commission.

The sides discussed the urgent international issues of mutual interest, including the cooperation in the process of restoring Afghanistan, prospects for interaction in the SCO and struggle against international terrorism, the report said.
