Conference devoted to Alisher Navoi held

A conference dedicated to studying the literary and scientific heritage of Alisher Navoi was held at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences.
Scientists, researchers, writers and poets, literary lovers and journalists took part in the event, UzA informs.
Vice President of the Academy of Sciences S.Gulomov, director of the Institute of Language and Literature N.Mahmudov, national poet A.Oripov, literature experts S.Ganiyeva and I.Hakkulov and others noted that in Uzbekistan great attention was given to the revival of national traditions and values, support of fundamental research of the heritage of the great ancestors.
One of the most important areas of spiritual and educational work carried out in Uzbekistan is consistent study of universal ideas in the works of the great thinker Alisher Navoi and education of the youth on the basis of them.
As a result of research, scientists published complete works of Navoi. Monuments to Alisher Navoi were installed in many regions of Uzbekistan, as well as abroad – in Moscow, Tokyo, Baku and other cities.
The interest to works of Navoi is growing not only in Uzbekistan, but also abroad. His works have been translated into many languages.
A significant part of work in the Academy of Sciences is aimed at a profound study of the priceless heritage of Navoi.
Reports on the role of Navoi in the development of human civilization, publication of his works, and the image of Navoi in historical works and other issues were heard in the conference.
