Businesses Ink 8 b UZS-Worth Contracts at Jizzakh Trade Fair

More than 400 firms and companies, including those from the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand, participated in the wholesale trade fair of consumer goods in the town of Jizzakh, the administrative capital area of Jizzakh Province, the Uzbekistan National News Agency reported.
Various industrial goods and household items, consumer goods and semi-finished products, and particularly, the furniture, carpet, tinned goods, roofing plate, tile and plastic construction materials are reported to have aroused a substantial interest in visitors to the fair.
The diversity of the domestic quality products speak about the fact that the measures taken in the nation, and particularly, to modernize the industrial enterprises in the province, technically and technologically re-equip them and localize the production bear its positive results.
According to the report, the number of firms and companies grew with the increase in their share in production, which has led to high qualitative indicators.
The attention now being more paid to developing the cattle-breeding in the country served as an important factor in terms of establishing the enterprises to reprocess the meat and dairy products, increasing the types of foodstuff.
More than 400 contracts worth over 8 billion UZS have been signed at the consumer goods fair.
“We have cut pretty good deals in terms of selling the confectionary goods,” Erkin Khamrokulov of the Bonu shirinliklar Confectionary Company said, while speaking to the Uzbekistan National News Agency. “This fair is important in terms of further strengthening the cooperation between businesses and raising production”.
