The newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Angola with residence in Moscow Joaquim Augusto de Lemos was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 22 August 2012.


The Ambassador handed his creditentials, addressed to the President of the Repubic of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the issues of developing cooperation and expressed their confidence that the appointment of the first Ambassador of Angola in Uzbekistan allows to strengthen bilateral relations.

Willingness of the parties to work together on regular exchange of information on exporting and importing opportunies, on market conditions, legal and other normative acts, regulating trade and investment policy spheres, was confirmed.

The parties also exchanged views on Uzbek-Angolan interaction within international organisations.
