The German Research Foundation granted the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) the books, brochures and albums in the German and English languages, the Pravda Vostoka newspaper wrote.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Uzbekistan Matias Mayer handed over the gifts to the teaching faculty and students of the University. In his address Ambassador Mayer said he has hoped that these books would always be in high demand. 

“We have received with pleasure the collections that include 94 publications,” said acting Rector of UWED B.Khojaev. “The bulk of the publications are related to policy, law and diplomacy. Among them are the handbooks, popular scientific books on theoretical basics as well as those concerning the acute issues of modernity.” 

The UWED library is regularly being filled thanks to such campaigns held by embassies and international organizations accredited in Uzbekistan.
