In order to provide medical services and socio-humanitarian aid to remote areas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, “Health” trained left from Tashkent railway station on the route “Tashkent – Turtkul – Miskin – Tashkent.”

Under the leadership of President Islam Karimov special attention is paid to the development of the medical sphere, improvement of health, especially of mothers and children, enhancing their health and social protection.

A significant contribution to this makes fund “Soglom avlod uchun” (For healthy generation). The Health train project, traditionally implemented by the fund with Uzbekistan Railways, plays an important role in providing health and social care to the residents of remote areas, especially mothers and children, women of childbearing age, persons with disabilities, and raises awareness against dangerous diseases, provides diagnosis and material and moral support to socially needy. This, in turn, helps educate fully healthy young generation.

Earlier, Health train was sent to Navoi, Surhandarya and Kashkadarya regions. Equipped with modern medical tools, the train has all conditions for a medical examination of the population. Within the project, the operating staff holds meetings in order to promote healthy lifestyle among the population.

Health train also provides humanitarian assistance to population in need of medical and social protection like the disabled, large families of survivors, as well as local medical facilities, boarding schools and preschool education institutions, UzA notes.
