The first Central Asian chess cup started in Tashkent on Tuesday with participation of about 70 players from Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

The event has been organized under the aegis of FIDE by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan.

The tournament will continue until 26 October. Uzbekistan is represented by Rustam Kasymjanov, Anton Filippov, Jurabek Hamroqulov, Marat Jumayev, Nafisa Muminova, Sarvinoz Qurbonboyeva and other players, UzA informs.
