IFFHS Announces Best Arbiter, National Championship List
The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) announced a list of the best arbiters and the strongest championships of the world, the Uzbekistan National News Agency reported.
The FIFA arbiter Ravshan Ermatov of Uzbekistan, who in 2008 held more than ten matches of the world and continental scale at high level, secured the 17th place among the arbiters from 83 countries.
Besides, Ravshan Ermatov, who in 2008 was recognized as the best referee of Asia and Uzbekistan, became the only arbiter put in the list from the CIS countries and Asian continent.
The troika of the strongest in the rating made up Roberto Rosetti of Italy, Luboch Michel of Slovakia and Frank De Blekere of Belgium.
The rating list of the strongest national championship of 2008 announced by the IFFHS included the premier league of the national championship of Uzbekistan that was honored with 35th place. This is the second place after Japan among the Asian countries, and among CIS – the third after championships of the Ukraine and Russia.
In the overall result the Premier League of the Championship of England is in the lead. The “A” group of Italy and championship of Argentine also joined the troika of the strongest.
