International Canoe Federation named Vadim Menkov, the member of the Uzbekistan national team and two-times world champion, the world’s best canoeist for the third time.

Menkov has received prizes at numerous world and continental championships, the World Cup and the Asian Games.

This year’s season has also been successful for the Uzbek athlete. In May, Vadim won gold and silver medals at the first stage of the World Cup in Poland. Later, he received silver at the second stage in the Czech Republic.

In August, Menkov won bronze in Hungary at the 1,000 meters distance and received a ticket for the London Olympic Games of 2012, UzA informs.
